Creators are very expensive, but if used smartly, you can make alot of money.
For example, if your server can "semi-afk" with homunculi, which also means you need an unofficial AI, Red/Black Mushrooms are your best friends, as they give you karvo (EDP material), Alcohol (AD material), Mushroom spore, Poison spore(alcohol material, edp material). They all can be sold to people with a nice income, with also those red blood and blue crystal (sry if i mistaken the ball's name =P).

As if Alcohol is very popular and usually sell for alot, the recipe is like this:
1 Empty bottle (ant eggs)
1 Empty test tube (bought in Geffenia mage guild)
5 Stems!
5 Poison Spores
1 Medicine Bowl
and, obviously, you need the Alcohol creation guide with you.
In my server, i don't know if people do it for leveling, but moscovia is very popular for "semi-afk" homunculus hunt, so if you have 3 alchemists, one in moscovia, and 2 scattered on mushroom spawn areas (Orc dungeon level 1, Hidden dungeon(best) level 1, their ETC should give you around 2.000.000 together, plus stems, poison spores, mushroom spores, karvo, i can't think on best way to "farm" money
Note: White herbs can be made into white potions which are 700z on npc and it makes potion pitcher much much cheaper
Considering alcohols are 8k, every weekend woe i can make 8 million in alcohol creation + 12 million from etc farming. 20 million is not good right? well, if you understand that you are doing this while you are studying, supermarket, have to bother someone etc, that also gives you zeny =P

Ok... with discount level 10 (-24%), it costs us 64,600 all ingredients per try, and you need a really good alchemist/creator job level and equipment, so your chance of sucess in creating an embryo should be closest to 90% you can get, selling them at 200.000 each will get you 20 millions / month depending on how many new people are on server.
Considering you need other stats, some people (on not-so-hard-to-level-up-servers, like 10x or better) prefer to make 2 creators, so they dont have to reset-waste money all the time, one for AD type, other for creation type (also this way you clear ur kafra and put all weirdo etc you LOVE on pharmacy creator okay?)
P.S: To increase the chance of creating things, get 99 dex/luk rest int, for DEX and LUK the increase sucess rate is 0.1, so 180 luk and 150 dex means, 18+15% higher chance, isn't that great? for luk is half (0.05)... but consider also having job 70

2x Orlean's Gloves + Zerom card (2x 5 DEX)
Valkyrie Armor + Baby Leopard card (wear lord clothes instead if thats too pricy, it is for me xD)
Apple of Archer headgear (3 DEX)

if you can afford, there is a thanatos despero and chung E cards for +9/+10 gears, I dont hunt it or get old carded albums, i dont feel i need it anyways, i would get it if i was aiming for max brewing of all possible means, for ranking slims
Fortune sword, cheap and adds 5 luk, well, this time the best is the cheapest too =)
Alrighty,other ways of making money (and having LOTS OF FUN, thats why you made a creator and not a high priest right) is making Acid Demonstration build too, killing MvP's, you should really consider hunting Moonflower as it gives old carded album,
which is self-explanatory.
