Swordman :
1.- Male and Female differences:
Pretty much everything, all attacks and active skills are different, the stuff they have in common are stat bonuses, they both have high Hp (Males have higher Hp), low Sp (Females have higher Sp), same passive skills, and same special/active skill names =P
2.- Stats:
(Swordsman only, other jobs have some different effects for certain stats)
Str = Adds Damage (MIN and MAX) to all of your attacks.
Agi = Makes you run, jump (this means falling faster as well) and attack faster. Also gives you dodge (you evade an attack when it hits you, but instead of damage you see Miss and your character flashes)
Vit = Gives you Hp, Hp recovery, Defense and Super Armor (When you get hit by weak attacks you don't get stunned).
Int = Gives you Sp, Sp recovery and Magic Defense.
Dex = Gives you MIN damage. Every 10 Dex you can chain in a combo another Strong Attack.
Luk = Gives Critical (When you attack and instead of the white number, a Red bubble with Yellow numbers appear, it does more damage than normal attacks. You need it very high to really notice the effect)
More about Vit and Defense/Super Armor
Vit adds little Hp, and it's the only number you will really notice if you aren't giving much attention to... well... numbers. This doesn't mean it's useless, it adds Hp regen, and the more Hp recovery (the skill) level you have, the more you get from Vit (remember that you regen Hp every 8 seconds while moving and fighting).
It also adds Defense so if you aren't good at dodging (after all, Thieves are the only really specialized class in dodging, and they can even Dodge, Stealth Dash, Back Slide and Hide for even easier dodging) you won't get damaged as much, weak hits will do barely any damage. After testing, with 100 Vit the damage you get is reduced by about 30% for strong attacks (attacks that do 90+ Damage without any Vit, for example, Sohee's knife attack goes down from ~2600 damage to ~1800 or Bapho Jr. Dark energy ball from ~97 to ~68 and the scythe attacks go from 175~200 to 130~140), but weak attacks go from 8~10 damage to 1 and form 17~19 damage to 3~5. So it probably adds both direct damage reduction (very little though) and percentage damage reduction.
But there is another factor that Vit affects, the Flinch-proof armor (or... Super Armor) the more Vit you have, the stronger the attack has to be for you to actually flinch, it works kind of like a permanent Endure but, unlike Endure, you have to be attacking for it to work, if you are running or if you aren't doing anything you will still flinch, also, it's only for weak attacks... even with 100 Vit at level 30 a Bapho Jr.'s Dark energy ball doing only ~68 damage will cause you to flinch, so it's not like you will have a permanent Endure for "normal" attacks, it has to be a very weak attack (weakened by Vit defense of course) for this to work. So this Super Armor pretty much renders worthless all those weak attacks that pester you while you kill the bosses or mobs like the damage Argiopes do with their heads. This is of course the weak point of Vit for Swordsmans, you can use Endure for the last effect only that Endure is better as it will be for all kind of attacks, but, then again, you have to keep casting Endure and you need to find an opening to do so and use some Sp.
In the end, Vit adds a lot of little defensive effects that can save your life or be pretty much wasted points depending on the situation, there is no answer to whether Vit is good or not for you, because it depends on you and how you like to play.
More about Dex and Strong attacks
F=Forward, D=Down and SA=Strong attack
"Every 10 Dex you can chain in a combo another Strong Attack."
This means you can use all of the Strong attacks (SA, F+SA, D+SA, D+F+SA, Aerial SA and Aerial F+SA) one more time every 10 Dex before getting the delay of the last hit, you can mix in between Weak attacks if you want as well but it's harder because of their short range. The combo is broken after you miss an attack, and also, you only get the delay from the last attack you use, so try to finish your combos with fast and weaker SA instead of those slow but very damaging SA and you'll be killing much faster and be able to dodge better.
For example, with 10 Dex, standing on the ground, you can do a combo of up to 8 attacks (2 times each of the 4 ground attacks), like this: D+SA, SA, D+SA, SA, F+SA, D+F+SA, D+F+SA, F+SA (I didn't say it would be usefull =P).
In the air, with 20 Dex, you can use each of the two aerial Strong attacks three times per jump, that's 6 attacks per jump (so you can connect up to 12 times before landing if you are good enough).
Getting a lot of Dex will let you spam the Strong attack you like the most, but not getting more than 20 points in Dex won't diminish your combo possibilities (actually, most normal enemies die before you get to use all of your SA with 20 Dex and bosses usually keep running or attack you breaking the combo anyway), you'll just end up using different attacks for combos (or killing the enemy faster if you decide to use the points for Str), or maybe you won't get used to it and still keep using the same SA (like F+SA for male Swordsman) over and over and get used to the delay. So there is no answer either about whether high or low Dex is better, but I hope it helps you comprehend Dex better.
3.- Other stats:
Hp = You die when it hits 0, Swordsmans have the highest Hp from all classes.
At level 30 (Male/Female):
The +1 Vit is form the Bonus stats Swordsmans get
Vit 1+1 = 4501/3887 Hp
Vit 9+1 = 4556/3934 Hp
Vit 29+1 = 4692/4052 Hp
Vit 49+1 = 4828/4169 Hp
Sp = Used for skills, different level skills use different amounts of Sp.
At level 30 (Male/Female):
Int 1 = 405/495 Sp
Int 10 = 411/502 Sp
Int 20 = 417/510 Sp
4.- Bonus stats:
Level 2 = +1 Str
Level 12 = +1 Vit
Level 20 = +1 Dex
Level 30 = +1 Str
5.- Special Attacks: (those attacks that need Stats or skills to be used)
Chain attack 1 (male and female) - Use Weak attack after hitting an enemy with a Weak attack. (ground only)
Requires Agi 10
Male - The first weak attack is a punch, if it hits, you can do a Sword thrust (does more damage than the punch)
Female - The first weak attack is a short hit, if it hits, you can do a Sword thrust (does about the same damage as the first hit)
Chain attack 2 (male and female) - Use Weak attack after hitting an enemy with a Chain attack 1. (ground only)
Requires Agi 20
Male - You do a Headbutt for the third hit and it moves you forward a little, it does moderate damage.
Female - You do a Sword Thrust again, this one does more damage and it can hit twice (and the second hit does even more damage)
Tackle (male and female) - Forward, Forward, Strong attack (ground only)
Requires 20 Str
Male - Hits the enemy with the elbow (doesn't show damge, but it probably does some because enemies can be killed by it) then, if it hits, it dashes through the enemies hitting them up to 5 times, the last hit does about twice the damage from the others.
Female - You run towards the enemy hitting them with you head for low damage up to 3 times, then a slice upwards hits up to 2 times and sends the enemy to the air if possible.

Low Pierce (male only) - Down, Strong attack (aerial only)
Requires 20 Dex (male)
Does a thrust downwards, if it hits something, you jump a little so you can keep using it, it also moves you a little to the side you are looking at, probably so you can't keep doing it forever. If it hits the ground, enemies very close to where you land get hit.

Chain Bash (male and female) - Use Bash after Bash (ground only)
Requires 20 Dex
Use Bash right after hitting with the first one to use the second with barely any delay, you can keep chaining them if the enemy doesn't move (or if you stun it =P)
Vital Force (male and female) - Press Guard as soon as you get hit
Requires Hp recovery level 1
Recovers some Hp (actually 1 at Hp recovery leve 1 >_>)... but I've never been able to pull it off ^^ and if I have, I've never noticed.
Bash's Second hit (male and female) - Press Strong attack right after the first hit from Bash hits the enemy.
Requires Fatal Blow level 1
Male - Does a second slash upwards, it uses 10 Sp and it does about half the damage from the first hit of Bash. It has less horizontal range so if you hit the enemy with the tip of your sword while using the first hit of Bash, the second one might not connect.
Female - Does a second slash that also has great horizontal range, costs 10 Sp and it does about 1/2~2/3 damage form Bash, can only be used on the ground.
6.- Skills:
Moving Hp recovery (移動時HP回復向上) - Passive
Requires Hp recovery level 3
Adds a Recovery that works at any given time and it's always every 8 seconds, it's very little. Unlike normal Hp recovery, you see a green number like if you had catched an item.
At level 10 Moving Hp recovery (Male/Female):
Level 30 - 1+1 Vit => 22/19 Hp recovered
Level 30 - 9+1 Vit => 23/20 Hp recovered
Level 30 - 29+1 Vit => 27/23 Hp recovered
Level 30 - 49+1 Vit => 30/26 Hp recovered
Fatal Blow (急所攻撃) - Passive
Requires Bash level 3 and Provoke level 3
Adds the second hit for Bash (look at the Special attacks section). It also adds stun chance to Bash. Adding points to this skill adds stun chance (for both hits), not damage to Bash.

Auto Berserk (オートバーサーク) - Passive, activates under certain conditions.
Requires Endure level 3
If you get hit at low Hp (about 20~25% or less) your character explodes, hitting the enemy twice for about the same damage as a Strong attack in the air for the male Swordsman. You are invincible during the activation of this skill (so it can save you from a combo if it's activated). It adds Damage to all of your attacks for a period of time. After a while (about after a minute for Auto Berserk level 1), if you haven't died, your Hp is still at a critical level and you get hit again, it will be activated yet again, giving you more attack.
Not all attacks activate it, mainly those that actually flinch your character. You also have to be on the ground to activate it.
Adding points to this skill did not make it stronger for me nor did I get more attack. Apparently it has a better chance to activate.

A skill that does damage, it can also Stun and has a second hit once you get at least 1 point in Fatal Blow, adding points to Bash makes it stronger (both hits).
Male - does a downwards slice, second hit (look at the Special attacks section) is a slash upwards.
At level 30 with 90 Str
Bash level 10 (30 Sp first hit + 10 Sp second hit) =>
Max Damage ~3200 + ~1700 Damage (Total 4900)
Min Damage ~2700 + ~1450 Damage (Total 4150)
Female - can be used in the air. On the ground it does an horizontal slash with good range, second hit does a second slash with even better horizontal range. Aerial Bash does a Slice like Male Swordsman, it does normal Bash damage and then hits about 1~8 times for low damage while you drop to the ground, so the higher you jump, the more weak hits it does.

Magnum Break (マグナムブレイク) - Down, Forward, Weak attack
Requires Bash level 3
Avery wide Area attack, you are invincible during this skill.
Male - does 2 slices (area arround you gets damaged), then jumps and and falls on the ground causing Fire damage (Elements aren't implemented though =P) on an even wider area.
At level 30 with 90 Str
Magnum Break level 10 (40 Sp)
Max Damage ~1800x2 + ~3600 Damage (Total 7200)
Min Damage ~1300x2 + ~2900 Damage (Total 5500)
Female - Hits 3 times (same area as Male Swordsman, the third hit is a little weaker and if there is any enemy that can be flinched/moved behind you near the "air wave" it will be thrown forward) then does a strong Fire attack to the front area.

A joker appears in front of you, if it hits an enemy, it might get Provoked and loose defense. Doesn't work on bosses and it can hit more than 1 enemy at once.
